Materials

All our products are designed, manufactured and assembled in Finland. With regard to materials, we constantly strive to critically review the choices we make and look for better solutions. Our jewelry meets Finnish and EU standards in terms of both safety and materials. We want our jewelry to last and stay in use for as long as possible. For this reason, we also want to offer the opportunity to obtain spare parts in cases where a part is lost or broken.

Birch plywood

The wooden parts of our jewelry are made at Lasercut Studio in Vallila, Helsinki. The birch plywood used in our jewelry is PEFC and FSC certified. It is environmentally friendly and made in Finland.

Metal parts

Depending on the piece of jewelry, the metal parts of our products contain surgical steel, gold, silver or brass. The metal parts come from our Finnish importer, which complies with the EU’s nickel directive. The EU’s nickel directive prohibits the sale of harmful nickel-containing products in the EU. If the product is in direct contact with the skin and in long-term contact (e.g. jewelry), it must not release more than 0.5 µg/cm/week of nickel.

Jewellery Packaging

Westpack is a Danish company specialising in jewellery packaging with nearly 60 years of experience in the field. Westpack manufactures our environmentally friendly jewelry boxes. They are committed to ESG reporting and share i.a. the carbon footprint of their action on an annual basis.

Wool

In our wool products we use 100% Finnish chunky wool which is the key flag symbol product. Our handmade wool products can be machine washed at 30 degrees.

Care instructions

Avoid exposing the earrings to moisture: do not swim or bathe wearing them or store them in a humid place. Cosmetics such as perfume and hairspary damage both the plywood and silver parts. Plywood is a light material so be careful not to bend it. The jewelry is good to store in its original packaging.

Gemstone

The stone parts of our products are rose quartz and blue jasper stone.

Rose quartz

Rose quartz is a stone used in jewelry and decorative objects. It is an unusual quartz transformation that belongs to the group of oxide stones. In nature, the rose stem usually occurs in mass form. The color of rose quartz can vary from pink to peach.

Jasper

Jasper is a popular gemstone that is a modification of quartz, consisting mainly of silicate. The name jasper comes from the Latin and Old French words meaning speckled or speckled stone. People often use different jasper stones depending on what they are going through at a certain time in their life.
